The final revelation

Allah(The all mighty) says :



(This is) a Book (the Qur'an) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its verses, and that men of understanding may remember.



And we have indeed made the Qur'aan easy to understand and remember:

Lesson 7- Surah Baqarah (2:13-2:14)

And when it is said unto them: believe as the people believe, they say: Shall we believe as the foolish believe? Beware! They indeed are the foolish? But they know not.

And when they fall in with those who believe, they say: We believe; but when they go apart to their devils they declare: but we are with you; verily we did but mock.

This is the Book(Scripture) within there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil).

Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them;

SOME IMPORTANT CONTENTS OF SURAH Al-FAATIHA

1. AL-FAATIHA [The Opening] (Rukus-1; Verses-7)
1. Supplication to Allah for guidance taught by Allah Himself.

SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION from Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Vol 1 pg 41-50)
1. This surah is known as 'Umm Al-Kitab' - The mother of the book , because the Quran & the prayer start with it. It is also called Umm Al- Kitab because it contains the meanings of the entire Quran.
2. It is also called Al-Hamd and As-Salâh.
3. It was called Salâh because reciting it is a condition for the correctness of Salâh-the prayer. Reciting Al-Fatihah is required in every Rak'ah of the prayer.
4. It was also called Ash-Shifâ (the Cure)
5. It is called Ar-Ruqyah (remedy)
6. It is the greatest Surah in the Quran
7. Allah has never revealed in Tawrah(Torah), the Injil(Gospel), Zabur(Psalms) or Furqân(Qurân) a surah like this.
8. It is also called seven repeated verses.
